Club Connection: Anticipating there are families not in need of full-day programs, but interested in some regular supports and interaction for their children, we are launching Club Connection. The program will operate from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Club members can enroll in one of four options: 1. Monday through Friday, with the intention to attend nearly every day; 2. Monday/Wednesday, attending twice weekly; 3. Tuesday/Thursday, attending twice weekly; 4. Friday Only. This will include an afternoon snack, learning supports and tutoring, social-emotional learning activities, enrichment programs, and of course, fun. Club members will be placed into a cohort and remain with that cohort for the entirety of the program, for health and safety reasons.
TEEN HOURS: Our current focus remains on providing younger members with enhanced services to assist working families. However, there are plans to operate bi-weekly Teen Nights beginning as early as September 18th, from 6:00-10:00 pm. Teen members are those attending middle school or high school.
Participants in either program are required to wear masks unless there is a documented medical exception.
While our program model currently limits the free-choice developmental activities Boys & Girls Clubs are known and loved for, our staff has worked hard to recreate the fun Club experience our members and families have come to expect.
Safety: A daily health screening will occur, and entrance will be subject to fulfilling that screening and a temperature check on arrival. For families who may have children they are comfortable walking to the Club on their own, we are working on an app-based system for parents to complete the health screening in advance for admission to the program each day.
WHO CAN ATTEND THE CLUB? Any youth ages 6 (or completed Kindergarten) to 18. Buses are available from select schools during normal operations. No transportation is currently available.
