The Boys & Girls Club is not just for boys & girls, it’s for teens too. For youth in middle school & high school, the Clubs offer a variety of programs and activities just for them. The best thing about Teen membership, it’s only $10 a year, and completely free for LaVenture and Mount Baker students!
Teen Hours: These are hours just for teens without younger members present. See the hours on the Clubs pages.
Teen Nights: These are generally held on Friday nights. Teen nights are teen run for maximum fun—they pick the theme and activities for the night. Inquire at the Club for the next scheduled night.
Programs for Teens: We offer many Teen specific programs like Career Launch where members assess their skills and interests, explore careers, make sound educational decisions and prepare to join our nation’s workforce; Keystone Club, the Clubs’ service learning, where youth develop unique leadership skills and learn to give back to their community; and Youth of the Year, Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program for Club members, where youth learn to articulate their life goals by examining where they’ve been and where they are going. Through the Youth of the Year program, participants practice interviewing and public speaking skills, and make connections aligned with their education and career interests.
Teens can volunteer: Whether it’s for program support, senior projects, or just helping out at the Club, teens are welcome to assist with the supervision of Club staff. Visit the Volunteer Page for more information.
