Wage:$37,500 to $47,000 DOQ/DOE, Full Benefit Package

General Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the 21st Century Program Director is responsible for administrative oversight of a 21st Century Community Learning Center at Allen School, including staff supervision; leadership; recruitment, coordination, and collaboration between programs; communication; data collection, integrity, analysis, and reporting. This is envisioned as a combined position with the 21st Century Site coordinator Allen School. As a combined position, the Program Director/Site Coordinator is also responsible for planning and coordinating all activities at their CCLC school-based site during the school year and summer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA in Education, or related field; or, equivalent education/experience combination
  • Two or more years supervising staff in a dynamic working environment, with experience in coaching, evaluation, and feedback
  • Two or more years preparing, maintaining and providing reporting on fiscal management needs
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, sit for frequent periods of time, and perform recurring tasks
  • Possess the ability to remain poised, positive, and energetic in a busy work environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use the current technology to maintain records and obtain data and information; familiarity with VisionCPS – MTS, or equivalent Access-based data management software preferred
  • Preference of candidates with familiarity and training in YPQA/I
  • Preference for Bilingual/literate candidates (English – Spanish/Mestico/Triqui) – $1/hr wage differential provided

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide leadership to all staff to ensure implementation and fidelity of program goals and outcomes
  • Ensures that staff and programmatic activities comply with all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures established at local, state and federal levels for the implementation of 21st Century Learning Centers
  • Leads and facilitates ongoing planning efforts of staff and community partners to achieve academic and social outcomes
  • Ensures project staff establishes and maintains procedures to adequately document program activities
  • Ensures student and programmatic evaluation activities are consistently implemented
  • Actively engage youth during the school day to build strong relationships
  • Provide direction/communication/support to all collaborative agencies and organizations
  • Recruit, Develop and Evaluate all staff
  • Perform major project administrative duties
  • Foster the development of family-school-community relations
  • Foster the development of sustainable programming beyond the 21st Century Program Project Cycle
  • Facilitate and provide any necessary translation functions, both oral and written (English/Spanish – Mestico and Triqui if possible)
  • Ensure a safe environment for all participants, staff, partners, and families
  • Actively engage community agencies in providing support services to families, specifically literacy efforts and interventions
  • Cultivate a culture that embraces a continuous program quality improvement cycle
